After meeting with the head of the Guardian Angels, Halifax Mayor Peter Kelly says he still needs to do more research on the New York-based patrol program before he can give a local chapter his stamp of approval.Gangs of swaggering vigilantes are the last damned thing that HRM needs.
Kelly and group founder Curtis Sliwa talked for an hour Monday in New York, where the mayor was attending a conference. Sliwa plans to visit Halifax next month.
