In my view, commercial healthcare insurers are parasitic dinosaurs. They serve no public good, provide no essential public service, and they remove funds from the sick, ill and injured vulnerable and return them to the pockets of investors(shareholders), thus stripping the healthcare infrastructure, providing disincentives for healthcare providers and destroying the physician/nurse-patient relationship.
