To fix social security he could have lifted the cap on the social security tax. He chose instead to cut benefits via the chained CPI.
I knew he was no progressive but until now I didn't realize that he was stupid.
He has given the GOP a huge political gift by being the one to cut benefits. It is frankly baffling.
