On Political Correctness

I have often heard it said by folks (usually ones that use PC as a pejorative) that politically correct speech is a club that is used to protect the delicate feelings of those that can't face the real world. I look at it differently. I think of it as simply being the recognition that my feelings might not be the only ones that matter and so I should think about what words I am using because someone else might be hurt by my words.

In other words, I think of it as not acting like a child and accepting that it isn't always about me.

He goes on to say that rich people aren't born rich. Outside of entertainment and sports that doesn't happen to be true and even in those areas we are starting to see more of the 2nd and third generation in the family business.
