AFP: Eight die in US attack inside Syria: official media
If this is the widely expected October surprise I have to think that it is probably the fucking stupidest idea that anyone has come up with. And considering the group that we are talking about ... that really says something.
DAMASCUS (AFP) — American helicopter-borne troops from Iraq launched an assault on Sunday on a building in a Syrian border village, killing eight civilians, official Syrian media reported.
The government has summoned the official US and Iraqi representatives in protest, state television and the official SANA news agency said.
In Washington the Pentagon said it had no comment.
